The school environment

Our school is located in Oxie, located approximately 10 km south-east of Malmoe (see map in the right column). The school-building is from 1915 and is very unique in its architecture.

A Master created the school

Ingvar Strandhs Flowerschool was founded in 1979 and has a status as one of Swedens leading floral educations. The school is also known to instruct succesful flowerdesigners whether you are new or old in the area. Our teachers and guest teachers is coming from all over the world and are all very skillful.

Floral designer

Many of our former students have opened their own flowershop. Also, many of our students has got apployment abroad.

Accomodation

In connection to our school we have our own accomodation.

International reputation

The school have a cooperation with Japan and Russia and we also give courses abroad.

Certificates

The school also arranges certificates for florists.

Projects and decorations

During the education, different projects and exhibitions are arranged for the school which our students can participate in. One of the biggest project were the ornamentations to our King´s 50th birthday last year. It was really one in a lifetime project and it was a great experience to both our school and our students.

The school is now contractor for the Flornet projekt, which involves florist schools from 8 EU countries.
